The Annual Rotary Civic Award was presented to Lloyd Winnecke and Carol McClintock, for their collaborative approach to making Evansville a more caring, compassionate, financially successful city that has become the envy of other municipalities in Indiana and in the Midwest.
The Rotary Civic Award is given for services performed in the year just ended or for a lifetime of services. This year marks the 95th year of recognizing outstanding citizens in our community for their service.
During her congratulatory remarks, Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch told Rotarians and guests that she tried to come up with three words to describe the couple, saying she could almost use the same for each:
“For Lloyd is was visionary, bold, collaborative. For Carol, driven, compassionate, and inclusive.”
