Community Build Day at Mickey’s Kingdom Sept 22

Saturday, September 22, 8-11:30 a.m.
Rotary-Rotaract Community Build Day at Mickey’s Kingdom
Mickey’s Kingdom Playground is set to become a main attraction of the Evansville riverfront upon it’s completion, and organizers are giving residents a real sense of ownership by inviting them to be a part of the building process during a 10 day community build beginning Saturday, September 14th!

Rotary Club of Evansville along with Rotaract Club of Evansville will be volunteering on Saturday, September 22 from 8-11:30 a.m.

Sign up now to volunteer for Rotary/Rotaract day at the Mickey’s Kingdom Community Build. Pick up your free Rotary Mickey’s Kingdom T shirt when you arrive on Saturday, September 22.
We have (2) public parking lots where we are suggesting volunteers park. The primary parking lot is at 408 SE Third Street (west of Select Hospital on Mulberry between Third and Fourth Streets). Shuttles are provided from this lot from 7:30-8:45am; noon-1pm; 5-6pm and 7:30-8:30pm. The secondary parking lot is the surface lot near the Tropicana at 617 NW 625 Riverside Drive. Shuttle service will only be provided from the secondary lot if the primary lot is full. If you can find street parking closer, that would be fine as well. Parking at the museum next to Mickey’s Kingdom is by permit only for our Construction Captains.
Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes that you are ok with getting dirty. If you are building with a team, we suggest that you wear a shirt to represent your team. We will be providing all gloves and needed materials required for the build. You do not need to bring personal tools and we are not responsible for loss of personal tools. Depending on the weather, you may want to bring a hat, sunscreen, or sunglasses.
Please print and sign the participation/ liability waiver that will be emailed to volunteers by Sept. 20. Please bring your completed copy of the waiver to the volunteer check-in table when you arrive at Mickey’s Kingdom. Please do not email this form back. We will have blank copies at the site if needed.
We will provide meals/snacks per the schedule below. We will typically have (1) entree option per meal so we may not be able to meet all food allergies or dietary restrictions needs. If you have specific needs, we suggest you bring separate meals/ snacks just in case.
