THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS There are Rotarians and Rotarian family members who would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as they recover from accidents, surgery and ill health. DECEMBER BOARD MEETING Due to the Holiday Luncheon, the December Board of Directors meeting will be held December 18 at 10:45 AM in the GAR Room at the Coliseum. All Board members are strongly requested to attend. Please contact Becki Alcorn if you cannot attend. CONDOLANCES Sincerest sympathy is extended to Delores “Dee” Browning and family on the December 2, 2007 death of Rotarian Charles “Charlie” H. Browning. Charlie had been an active Rotarian until recently when ill health made it impossible for him to participate in Rotary meetings and activities. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary Foundation of Evansville. NEW MEMBER PROPOSAL Harry Lukens proposes William G. Grief, retired, as a new Rotarian. Bill’s classification would be: Retired – VP Bristol Myers. Anyone objecting to the proposal should contact the Membership Committee. CONGRATULATIONS Three Rotaract members were in the newspaper on November 18. Greg Charnes and Mike DeVoy were announcing their engagements and Abby Keeping, daughter of Ron and Cheryl Keeping announced her marriage. Congratulations Greg, Mike and Abby.

HOLIDAY LUNCHEON The annual Holiday Luncheon is Tuesday, December 11, at The Centre, Ballroom A. Festivities begin at 11:00 AM with the Tom & Jerry Reception. The Luncheon buffet begins at 11:45 AM. The luncheon will benefit the Fraternal Order of Police P.A.L. Christmas party for underprivileged children. Rotarians may bring a wrapped gift for a child ages 6-12. Packages should be marked indicating a boy or girl and the age. Monetary donations will also be gratefully appreciated in lieu of a gift. CIVIC AWARD It is time to nominate a person(s) for the annual Rotary Civic Award. The nomination form may be found on the Rotary web site or may be obtained from Teri Hollander Albin. All nominations must be to Teri by December 18. ASSISTANCE IS STILL NEEDED Alan Winslow could still use some assistance either at Patchwork Central or with sitting with his wife Judi.
