JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT - JOB SHADOW

Did your company participate in JA’s Job Shadow Day in February? Business took 11,326 students who wanted to participate.  It is time to start signing up for the 2007 Junior Achievement Job Shadow Day. There are 1800 students that are in need of business sponsorship. Job Shadow Day is scheduled for Friday, February 2, 2007. The application form is available at the sign-in tables, from Martin Rowland jachiever@sbcglobal.net, or at the JA office at 100 NW 2nd St. Suite 112.  

ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP

Rotary received a check for $1400 for the Rotary Scholarship Program as a result of the luncheon on November 14.

BELL RINGING

Only two weeks before Rotary takes the bells for the annual Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. Rotarians will be all around Evansville on Saturday, December 9, to raise money for the Salvation Army. Marianne Cox is still looking for a few good bell ringers There are a variety of locations and time slots still available. Contact Marianne at mecox@cinergycom.com or 456-1243 to sign up. Last year Rotarians raised approximately $9000.

HOLIDAY LUNCHEON

The annual Holiday Luncheon is Tuesday, December 12. Festivities begin with the Tom & Jerry Reception at 11:00 AM, followed by a buffet luncheon at 11:45. There is no additional charge for Rotarians. Senior Actives are $10 and Guests are $17. Reservations will be taken at the meeting on November 28 and December 5.

If you would be interested in being a Rotary coach for new members, please contact Ben Hebebrand, or Mary K. Oswald.

EVALUATION SHEETS

Please pickup your sheet, fill it out after the meeting and deposit it in the blue boxes on the sign-in table as you leave. The sheets are designed to give the Hospitality Committee input from the membership on the program, facility and food.
