Please include Gene Warren with other Rotarians and Rotarian family members who would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as they recover from accidents, surgery and ill health.

Paul Hoskins, caterer for the Tuesday Rotary luncheon, is at Deaconess Hospital in room 2640, having had a heart attack the end of September. Paul underwent open heart surgery on Monday, October 1.

BANNER and CHECK PRESENTATION

District 6580 Governor Judy Witt presented Club President Becki Alcorn with a 2007-2008 Theme banner. President Becki then presented a check for $3000 payable to the Rotary International Foundation for three (3) Paul Harris Fellowships to be presented during the year.

HERITAGE FEST/DIVERSITY

The annual Diversity Picnic will be held on Sunday, October 14 at Old National Bank on the Riverfront. The family event will feature ethnic food, entertainment and children’s games. Rotarians are asked to bring a covered dish. Questions and sign-up to assist and / or participate may be addressed to Lois Duncan, Tess Grimm, Lezlie Simmons or Bill Wooten.

MENTOR / MENTEE PROGRAM

October 18 begins the 2007-2008 Mentor / Mentee program for college students. The program runs through April. If you can donate a couple of hours a month to mentor a college student, contact Nancy Bizal.
