CLARIFICATION

USI manages the Southern Indiana Japanese School, a Saturday program for children of Japanese employees of several area corporations.  The school is open to any child fluent in Japanese.  The Southern Indiana Japanese School (SIJS) opened in September 1997 in Evansville, Indiana, at the request of Japanese companies locating in southwestern Indiana. SIJS exists to enable the school-age children of Japanese employees of these companies to keep up with their peers in Japan and to help these children integrate smoothly into Japanese school life when they return to Japan. Any local child who would like to study at SIJS may also be accepted if he/she has adequate Japanese language skills for participation in classroom activities. Apologies are extended for the misunderstanding of who was responsible for the school.

CELEBRATION OF SERVICE

Make your reservation now for the annual Celebration of Service. It will be Tuesday, May 8, at the Centre beginning at 11:30 AM. There is no additional cost for members of our Rotary Club as this is included in our annual dues. Other Rotarians, Rotaractors and all guests are $20 each. If you have items for the raffle or can take more raffle tickets to sell, please contact Jan Meeks at janmeeks@summitrealestate.us or 426-1070 x100.
